The family chart records Akiva Schenker and Reizel Schnitzer as the parents of Rivka Leah, known as Lola, who married Yosef Matisyahu Teller. That is the bridge from the Schenker family into the Teller family and then to Rosalie Teller and Emanuel Shapiro.
The Schenker family in Yankel Teller’s tree
The family chart records Akiva Schenker and Reizel Schnitzer as the parents of Rivka Leah, known as Lola, who married Yosef Matisyahu Teller. That is the bridge from the Schenker family into the Teller family and then to Rosalie Teller and Emanuel Shapiro.
The chart explicitly marks Moshe Aron and Mordechai Schenker as deceased. It says Esther and Yisroel Schenker died as children in an epidemic. These are family-compiled claims awaiting primary records. The complete family chart includes living and unknown-status relatives; unresolved evidence remains labeled.
Can someone in the family check Sefer Oshpitsin, page 611?
If you have a copy of Sefer Oshpitsin (the Oshpitzin/Oshpetzin yizkor book), please photograph page 611, the Schnitzer family article, including the page number and heading, and share the images with the family. We are trying to learn more about Shmuel Schnitzer and his wife Sara, especially their daughter Reizel, Lola Teller's mother. The Teller family tree gives Sara's maiden name as Kempler. The memorial database lists her as Sara Lea; Lea is a middle name, not a surname, and may add to her recorded full name if that reading is right. Page 611 may help confirm her full name and the household. This is a request for a source, not a change to the family tree. Other findings and open questions remain on the site.
The English online translation stops before page 611. The National Library of Israel lists physical copies, but no online scan of this page has been found. If an online image or a family copy turns up, we can read it and update this question.
The family chart spells these names Rivka-Layeh, Yosef-Mattisyahu and Moshe-Aron. These are the chart’s recorded spellings.
